Terms & Conditions
By entering the Best Dressed Contest (“Contest”) at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong (‘the Hotel’), you
are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
- The
Best Dressed Contest is open to all individuals. [Participants under the age of 18 must have the
consent of their parent or legal guardian to enter the Contest.] - Each
participant consents to the Hotel taking photographs and/or video footages
of the Contest and grants the Hotel and Shangri-La
International Hotel Management Limited (“Shangri-La”)
the absolute right and permission to use any photographs and/or video
footages of the participant (“Participant Images”) for all editorial and promotional activities relating
to the Contest, including but not limited to publishing the Participant Images
on
the Hotel’s social media or other promotion channels (“Materials”).
Each participant waives any right that he/she may
have to inspect and/or approve any materials (printed or online) containing
Participant Images. - Participants
will not be paid for the use of Participant Images by the Hotel [and/or Shangri-La]
and all such Materials, in whatever medium, shall remain solely the
property of the Hotel [and/or Shangri-La], and participants shall have no
right (such as copyright) or interest in them. - The
Hotel [and Shangri-La] will stop using Participant Images on any new
Materials after 2 years from the date of the Contest (“Expiry Date”). For the avoidance
of doubt, the Hotel [and Shangri-La] may continue to use existing
Materials containing Participant Images if printed or published on or
before the Expiry Date. - Each participant can withdraw his/her
consent for the collection, use or disclosure of Participant Images of
him/her at any time during or after the Contest by emailing at comms.hk@shangri-la.com. This
withdrawal will not affect any actions taken by the Hotel [and/or
Shangri-La] before the receipt of the written notification, including the
use of existing Materials. - Prizes
are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. - The
decision of Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong is final and binding in all matters
relating to the Contest.
